In addition to attending seminars and conferences, Friends are invited to attend "Philosophers Walks" examining areas of particular ecological interest. Here a group of faculty, students, and friends pause to hear ecologist John Schmidt describe plant communities at the Broad River Natural Area in Madison County north of Athens. To become a Friend of the EECP, contact the EECP office or enter your name and address on the attendance sheet at an EECP evening seminar, and indicate that you would like to become an EECP friend. Students who complete the certificate are moved to the Friends list automatically. Persons on the mailing list receive seminar and other announcements via e-mail.
